It’s going to be a scorching hot week. The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning through Thursday night. Daytime highs will be in the 90’s every day through Friday, peaking at 96 on Thursday. The high humidity will make afternoon temperatures feel as hot as 110 degrees. Heat illnesses are possible. You should drink plenty of water and stay in air-conditioned areas as much as possible. If you must go outside, wear light colored clothing and stay out of the sun. Also, be sure to check on relatives and neighbors, especially the elderly. And don’t forget your pets!
