EPA official says air monitoring continues near plant fire

As the fire continues to smolder at the Euclid Chemical Company the federal EPA says they continue to monitor the ground and the sky. The EPAs Mike Beslow says one of Euclid’s contractors is conducting air monitoring under EPA supervision. Beslow says they’ve determined what to monitor for and they’re taking measures to make sure smoke and liquids do not migrate off of the site. He says vacuum trucks are being used to pick up water when the Sheffield fire department attempts to extinguish smoldering areas.
