Cleanup continues at chemical plant fire location

The scene of the Euclid Chemical Company fire is currently host to multiple agencies, fire personnel and company contractors. None of which Euclid’s Joshua Robbins says has total control. Robbins says the Sheffield Fire District has financial control and the state Fire Marshall is in charge of the investigation. As recent as Wednesday County officials recommended that people within one mile of the fire remains indoors. Robbins says this information is not coming from the state or federal officials. He says that the U.S. EPA has environmental control, which they will eventually relinquish to the state EPA. Robbins says control of the site will eventually go fully to the company.
