Princeton Elementary School Board discusses state funding

County tax dollars are keeping the Princeton Elementary School District afloat while the state lags. Superintendent Tim Smith says revenue from district residents…a district school tax…typically carries the district to January and February. But…he says if the state doesn’t come through…the district will have to dip into reserve money created by bonds. Smith says the state owes the district 530,000 dollars for last fiscal year. He says that they have not received any funds for the first quarter of this year either.
