LaSalle County Sheriff retains his post

LaSalle County voters have given Sheriff Tom Templeton an overwhelming vote of support. Templeton easily won re-election Tuesday, taking more than 71 percent of the vote to Democratic challenger Rodney Hampton’s 29 percent. Two of the five contested county board seats are changing hands. Bob Vickrey beat incumbent Arthur Rigby and Susan Thornton lost her seat to Joseph Panzica. Incumbents Tom Ganiere, Rick Scott and Arratta Znaniecki retained their seats. Voter turnout in LaSalle County was 45 percent.
