Bureau County to return state funds

Bureau County is returning over $5 million in state funds that didn’t get used for economic development. The State Finance Authority says these recovery zone bonds are issued to finance projects for job development in disadvantaged communities. County Board member Marshanne Entwhistle says the state has requested the return of the unused money by the end of the year. Entwhistle says Bureau county's cut was around 5 million. Entwhistle says the 532 million is due back in Springfield by December 31st.
