Investigation continues into PES incident

Princeton Elementary School District officials say two fourth grade girls at Reagan Elementary in Tiskilwa told them a red pickup truck followed them to school this morning. Superintendent Tim Smith says the report is unfounded at this time and that it’s the job of the sheriff’s and Princeton Police departments to further investigate. He did not recommend parents pick up their children from any school within the district. Smith says a text alert was sent out by the school district because they want parents to trust them. Smith says a letter regarding the incident and safety was sent home with all children within the elementary district Thursday.
