Local school superintendent says he's worried about money
Debt is building for the Princeton Elementary School District as state payments continue to lag. Superintendent Tim Smith says more than 950 thousand dollars is due. That includes money from last year and the first quarter of this year. Smith says most money coming in right now is local. He says in a typical year state money keeps cash balances stable. If this trend continues, Princeton Elementary Board President Steve Bouslog says certain funds may see a million dollar deficit in several years.
