Lots of preparation goes into free Thanksgiving dinner

Veggie chopping and rolling silverware is only a small amount of the prep work to get a free thanksgiving dinner underway. Tim and Jim Gorman have been coordinating the dinner for many years. The the 10th annual event is hosted by the Evangelical Covenant and St. Louis Churches in Princeton. The volunteers say they are preparing 25 pounds of mashed sweet potatoes and seven turkeys. They plan on serving 80 people at the church, which includes reservations and walk ins. They’re also preparing delivery and pickup orders. As of last night, volunteers say 51 delivery orders had already been called in.
