Princeton Fire Department to get new gear

The Princeton Fire Department was recently awarded over 44 thousand dollars through FEMA’s assistance to firefighter grant program. Chief John Petrakis says they applied for the award in 2009 but were denied. He says this year’s success is going to outfit the men and women who serve the community. Petrakis says the grants have become extremely competitive to receive. The money will be used to outfit 17 members with new ensembles and also purchase other protective wear.
