Senator Dahl announces resignation

State Senator Gary Dahl is resigning. The Granville Republican came to the Senate in 2004 after beating incumbent Pat Welch. He was reelected in 2008 but says he's frustrated with the way things are going in Springfield. Dahl says it's been "an absolute pleasure serving the people in the 38th District," but he says it's time to move on to a new chapter in his life, one in which he'll spend more time with his family. His last day on the job will be next Friday, December 10th. The Republican Party chairmen in his district will decide who replaces him.
