"It's A Wonderful Life" in Princeton

wonderful_life_large

Community leaders took to the stage and airwaves Saturday for a holiday fundraiser. In classic 1940’s radio play style, Festival 56 presented “It’s a Wonderful Life” in front of a live audience at the Grace Theatre in Princeton and broadcast live on WZOE-AM. All the roles were handled by local business and organization leaders and government officials. The morning performance featured Rick Clary and WZOE General Manager Steve Samet as George Bailey and his guardian angel, Clarence. City Manager Jeff Fiegenschuh played mean old Mr. Potter. The afternoon show had Tom Ogaard and Rex Conger in the George and Clarence roles, Mayor Keith Cain as Mr. Potter and WZOE-AM morning host Tommy Rose as Uncle Billy. Also as part of the event, the Bureau County Chorus, under the direction of Joy Schertz, performed several holiday songs.
