Missing Ransom woman's husband three times legal limit during auto accident

The husband of missing ransom woman Tanya Shannon was three times the legal limit when he died in a car accident on December 5th. The LaSalle County coroner’s office says Dale Shannon, 41, had a blood alcohol content of .266. The coroner’s office says Shannon died of a broken neck on impact when his car struck a telephone poll. LaSalle County Sheriff Tom Templeton says Shannon was not wearing a seatbelt. No other drugs or intoxicating substances were found in his system. Tanya Shannon was reported missing following the accident. Authorities say searches of the field surrounding the accident site haven’t turned up anything.
