Lieutenant Governor visits IVCC, pushes for education reform

ivcc-mastheadLieutenant Governor Sheila Simon is expressing her vision for the future of education in Illinois.  Simon spent part of her day in Central Illinois yesterday at Illinois Valley Community College.  As part of her statewide Complete College Tour, Simon says she's specifically looking at college completion rates and what

the state can do to help raise those rates.  The goal is to have 60-percent of the working-age population with a college credential by the year 2025.  Simon says Illinois has to become a more educated state in order to be more competitive in the global economy.
