Sheriff Department releases August activity report

A total of 58 offenders were processed through the Bureau County Jail in August. The monthly activity report from Sheriff John Thompson indicates officers investigated 40 traffic crashes, making 41 arrests including 3 for DUI. Another 20 arrests were

made for non-traffic violations and officers responded to 26 requests for domestic intervention or support.
