PHS Board approves FY 2012 budget

With revenues of over seven point seven million dollars and expenses of over eight point seven million dollars, the Princeton High School Board approved the FY12 budget at last night’s meeting with a deficit of two hundred ninety-nine thousand four hundred fifty-one dollars. High School Superintendent Kirk Haring says it’s a “wait and see” budget.  In other business, Kim Baum of

Hopkins and Associates presented the final FY11 Audit. Baum said that overall the school is in good financial shape. Haring added that if they hadn’t done the Capital Improvements they would have been in the black by over three hundred thousand dollars. The reason they are in good shape is because of the reserves.  The following personnel were approved for employment: Debra Bartman and Bethany Sarff, special education aides;     Ginger Freeburg, treasurer; and Dan Martinkus, volunteer in the theatre department.
Principal Barb Schmidt announced that Homecoming is next week.
