Walnut teen faces gun charge

A Walnut teen is in trouble for allegedly possessing a gun and making threats.  The 15-year old boy is charged with unlawful use of a weapon.  Bureau County Sheriff John Thompson says the boy was arrested Tuesday after deputies recovered a .38-caliber revolver in Buda.  He says the investigation began Tuesday morning when an investigator was contacted regarding “threats”.   The boy was charged at Bureau Valley High School in Manlius.  At no point was the school on lockdown, and it has not been revealed whether the gun had been at the school.  The boy was taken to the La Salle County Juvenile Detention Home.   Thompson says additional charges may be filed.
