Former teacher's aide charged with abusing student

A former teacher’s aide at Kewanee High School has been arrested on charges that she was involved in a sexual relationship with a student.  29-year old Nicole Pinnick of Kewanee was arrested yesterday on allegations related to a relationship with a student between the ages of 13 and 18, according to a news release from the Kewanee Police Department.  The incident did not occur on school property or during school hours,” the release said.  Pinnick had worked for two years for the Henry-Stark Special Education District as a teacher’s aide at Kewanee High School. She resigned from that job in April of this year.  A warrant was issued for Pinnick on one count of criminal sexual assault and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. She was taken to the Henry County Jail with bond set at $100,000.
