PES Board discusses holidays
The Princeton Elementary School Board held a public hearing on Monday before their regularly scheduled board meeting. The purpose was to hear testimony regarding a proposed request for a waiver of school holidays. No one from the public attended the hearing. After a short break the regular board meeting began. Superintendent Tim Smith reported the state owes PES almost 430-thousand dollars just since July. They have received all fiscal year
2011 state monies. In other business the board will hold a strategic planning meeting on Tuesday, November 1st. Another meeting will probably be necessary to complete the process. And the following action items were approved: the District and School Report Cards; the District Improvement Plan; and maternity leave for both Emily Cook and Kerry Jaeger.
