Princeton to get a new water treatment plant

A ground breaking ceremony was held yesterday for the new Princeton Water Treatment Plant. The main building will be 68 feet wide by 210 feet long with brick and stone construction. The total cost for Phase I and II will be 23.5 million dollars.  J.T. Mackie from Illinois Senator Kinsinger’s office, representatives from Vissering Construction and Farnsworth Engineering Group from Bloomington, City Commissioners Terry Madsen and Bob Warren, Rick Clary of Central Bank and Joni Hunt were some of those in attendance for

the ceremony.  Construction will begin this Monday. Eggers said he expects construction to be completed by fall of 2013.
