Teen accused of having gun at PHS makes a court appearance

The teen accused of entering Princeton High School with a loaded shotgun 2 weeks ago is done with his mental evaluation and has made his first court appearance.  18-year old Blake Schmidt was in Bureau County Court, being charged with felony unlawful use of a weapon.  He had spent a week undergoing psychiatric tests at a Peoria hospital after authorities say he brought a gun into

PHS on November 16th but never pointed it at anyone.  Schmidt wasn’t a student at the time of the incident.  Bond was set at $25,000 and he’ll next be in court for grand jury indictment and arraignment on December 14th.
