Princeton Park District Board awards bid for $800,000

princeton-park-district-logoCitizens First National Bank had the lowest bid for the Princeton Park District’s General Obligation Bond. At last night’s board meeting Executive Director Elaine Russell said all four of the major banks in Princeton; Citizens, Centrue, Midland States, and Central, submitted bids.  The interest on the $800,000 bond will cost 93-hundred dollars with an additional $500 fee. According to Russell the full amount will be paid off in eleven months.  In other

business, Superintendent of Parks Keith Scherer said he reported to police that cars had driven onto three of the soccer fields and spun their wheels. Because of this, that part of the park has been closed. But, Russell said, the park is open to foot traffic
