Bureau County Board approves engineering agreement

The Bureau County Board made decisions on several pieces of business at last night’s meeting. An engineering agreement with Willett, Hofmann and Associates for 2012 township bridge inspections was approved. The payments will come from the individual townships.  The 2012 Ice Control bid was awarded to Tri-Con Materials for 2,500 tons of materials at a cost of $33,000.  Buildings and Grounds Chair, Christie Warren, reported that one bid from Fritz and Elmore in the amount

of $135,947 was accepted for the HVAC system at the jail. Because of some additional questions on the bid, KJWW will oversee the bid for a fee of $1,500.  And it was announced that the courthouse will be closed at 12 noon on both Friday, December 23rd for Christmas and December 30th for New Years.
