There is a new undersheriff in town

Sheriff John Thompson announced Tuesday that Lieutenant Timothy Trevier of Ladd has been selected to fulfill the duties of Chief Deputy and Undersheriff at the Bureau County Sheriff’s Office. Trevier, a 25-year law enforcement deputy sheriff veteran, graduated from Culver-Stockton College with a degree in public administration. He has served in several areas in the sheriff’s office including canine, criminal, investigations, and supervision. Most recently Trevier served as

the Sheriff’s representative to the narcotics task force known as Tri-dent which serves Bureau, LaSalle and Putnam Counties. Sheriff John Thompson said, “Chief Deputy Trevier’s work ethic and performance provide an excellent example to all who serve with him. He is a professional example to law enforcement everywhere.”
