Peru Blockbuster closing its doors

No word yet on whether the Peru K-Mart or Sears will close, but another nationwide business chain is closing its Peru store.  Blockbuster Video on Midtown Road is one of 180 scheduled to be closed as part of a wave of Blockbuster closures nationwide.   The once leading-provider of video and game rentals hit financial troubles in 2010 when it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after accumulating

more than $1 billion in debt.  A few months ago, Dish Network bought the chain, which has 1,700 locations, for $228 million.
