Ottawa man to speak on T-Rex

A Tyrannosaurus Rex conjures up images of a huge dinosaur with lots of sharp teeth. But Ottawa native Steve Brusatte cuts this extinct animal down to size in his upcoming talk. The PhD student at Columbia University became interested in dinosaurs while fossil hunting for an Ottawa High School class. Brusatte says he now wants to bring that love to the public. Brusatte’s presentation “Dinosaur Biology and Evolution: The Latest Research on Tyrannosaurs” is tomorrow at 6:30 pm at the Utica Township Community Hall. The LaSalle County Historical Society event is free to all.
