Preliminary autopsy results announced for Shannon
Tanya Shannon died from exposure to the cold, according to a preliminary autopsy. The body of the 40-year Ransom woman and mother of four was found in a field Monday morning. Shannon disappeared a month ago following a car crash that killed her husband, Dale Shannon, 41. Officials say Shannon’s body was found in the vicinity of the crash scene on Grand Ridge Mazon Blacktop. Search efforts were resumed after snow melted from last week’s warm weathers, revealing the body. LaSalle County Coroner Jody Bernard says they’re waiting on a final autopsy report and toxicology results.
