Coroner says fire not the cause of death of Ottawa man

Fire was not the cause of an Ottawa man’s death early Monday. The Peoria county coroner says 76 year Eldon Wolfe died of spinal injuries he sustained from jumping out a window to escape the fire at his home Sunday night. His wife…72 year old Barbara Wolfe…was taken to Loyola Medical center where she was listed in critical condition on Tuesday. The state fire marshall is investigating the cause of the fire.
