Reward increased to $25,000 for Bureau Valley arsonist

Ten thousand dollars is off the table, a $25,000 dollar reward is now the offer to catch an arsonist. Investigators say fires that destroyed part of the Bureau Valley School District's administrative offices last summer were set intentionally. Bureau County Sheriff John Thompson says the insurance carrier and BV superintendent John Bute felt it was appropriate and motivating to increase the reward amount. He says he encourages the public to come forward with information to help with the investigation.
