New water plant means higher water rates in Princeton

The Princeton City Council recently approved an increase that will allow them to secure a $15 million loan from the state. The funds will help build phase two of a proposed water treatment facility. City manager Jeff Fiegenschuh says something has to done, and since this debt is coming at a low interest, it’s best to do it now. The increase will go into effect October first.
