Area Eagle Watch Weekend on the way

America’s most well known bird of prey has filled out its winter roost in large numbers this year. Every winter the Illinois Valley continues to see more eagles. Starved Rock State park is celebrating their presence as Eagle Watch Weekend kicks off Saturday. Marketing Director Kathy Casstevens says there is something for everyone. The eagles will return to their breeding grounds up north beginning mid-March.
