Prayer service held for two Tazewell County teens killed in head-on auto collision

Michael Honan, 18, and Celine Estes, 17, both of Tremont were pronounced dead around 10 a.m. Saturday. Honan's westbound pickup truck crossed the median on Interstate 74 near Carlock, clipping an eastbound semi-truck and striking a school bus. Two passengers in the back seat of the truck were injured as well, with one reported to have serious injuries. The bus was carrying the Tremont girl’s varsity basketball team. Bus driver Stu Horton says the odds of the two vehicles colliding blows him away. Police say no one on the bus was seriously injured.
