Tanya Shannon was well below the legal blood-alcohol limit at the time of her death. The 40-year-old Ransom woman was missing for most of December after a car accident. She was found in a rural LaSalle County field on January 3rd. The coroner says her blood-alcohol content was 0.053. The cause of death was ruled as exposure to the cold. Her husband, 41 year old Dale Shannon, was driving the car the morning of the December 5th accident. He died instantly from injuries when the car struck a utility pole. He was three times the legal limit.
