Fundraiser planned for Princeton teen
Doctors say a Princeton teen’s recent surgery is “only a band aid” and the permanent fix…a new heart…will come at a cost. That’s why friends of 16-year old Noah Bickett are throwing him a benefit. Organizer Kyle Burrows is a junior at Illinois State University. Lately he’s been spending weekends clocking miles between Normal and Princeton in order to plan the event with Kristin Bickett, Noah’s cousin. Burrows says he grew up next to the Bicketts…running around the neighborhood with Noah and his older brother. The February 12th fundraiser is being held at the Princeton Moose lodge from 5 to Midnight. Tickets are available now in Princeton at Citizens First National Bank on South Main Street and Wyanet Carpet on North Main. For 15 dollars you can eat and take in live music beginning at 7 p.m. Food is being served from five to eight. Burrows says he welcomes any support. Local groups 212, Rodeo Drive and For I Will Shake the Heavens will be performing. Donations can also be made to the Noah Bickett Benefit Account at Citzens First National Bank.
