LaSalle County drowning death ends in large lawsuit

A 2009 drowning death in LaSalle County has ended in a large lawsuit. Lone Star Cement is to pay most of a 450-thousand-dollar settlement to the estate of Dekalb woman Jennifer Wehling who drowned in the Vermilion River in Oglesby two summers ago. Wehling was on a raft that got caught in a ferocious recirculating current by the Lone Star Cement dam.
