Sheriff offer scholarship

If you’re seeking higher education and live in Bureau County, you might be eligible for a boost. Sheriff John Thompson says the Illinois Sheriff’s Association is awarding scholarship funds throughout the state. He says he will award one 500-dollar scholarship for the 2011-2012 academic year. Applications are available at the Sheriff’s office in Princeton or online at www.ilsheriff.org. Thompson say they must be turned in no later than March 11th to the his office.
