Bureau County windfarm moratorium motion defeated

A motion to jumpstart a temporary moratorium on wind farm development in Bureau County was soundly defeated last night.  The motion would have directed the county zoning officer to take the action to the necessary committees, hold public hearings, and report to the board in two months.  Many board members were frustrated that they weren’t notified of the action earlier and several agreed that the idea wasn’t necessary.
