200 years and going strong

Owen Lovejoy’s bicentennial birthday celebration continues this spring.  The Princeton Public Library is showing parts one and two of the PBS documentary “Slavery and the Making of America” next Tuesday.  Parts three and four will be shown on March 30^th.  Library programming specialist LuAnn Salz says these two installments carry the viewer thourhgh the passing of the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments guranteering black civil rights.
