Were "exercising sound fiscal practices"

On the tails of this week's special budget meetings, City Manager Jeff Fiegenschuh said Princeton is in good shape financially. He says early retirement offers, consolidation of departments and other tools have helped with cost savings. Fiegenschuh says the general fund operating budget is tight but balanced for fiscal year 2011-2012. He says the City needs to continue to find new efficiencies and ways to save tax dollars, continue its pro-growth agenda and produce more investment and jobs in the community.
