Smoke alarm at area shelter

Freedom House is up and running after heavy smoked damaged one of its rooms yesterday. Connie Doran is the Executive Director of Freedom House, a shelter for victims of domestic abuse. She says several overheated wires melted and caused the smoke. Doran says the fire department was “fabulous” in their response. She says the affected classroom has plenty of ventilation and Freedom House won’t slow any of its operations because of the damage.
