It's Election Day

It’s election day.  Polls are open until 7 this evening.  Tune in to WZOE AM-1490 for election coverage starting just after 8 tonight.  We’ll have local results for Bureau, Putnam, LaSalle and Marshall Counties.

In Bureau County, mayor races will be decided in Princeton, Buda and Walnut, and races for city councils/village board members in Princeton, Buda, Bureau, Cherry, Ladd, LaMoille, Malden, Neponset, Sheffield, Spring Valley, Tiskilwa and Walnut.  School board seats are up for grabs for Princeton High and Elementary, Hall and Ohio.  Five candidates are seeking 4 seats on the Ladd Library Board and Neponset votes on a school annexation referendum.

In LaSalle County, a majority of cities and villages will choose their trustees, commissioners and aldermen while Ottawa, Oglesby and Utica have school board races.

In Putnam County, there are several contested races, including Putnam County school board, and Granville and Hennepin village boards.

In Marshall County, races include the Henry City Council and Henry-Senachwine school board.

In addition, five candidates are running for three 6-year Illinois Valley Community College Board of Trustees seats.
