Bureau County bike fundraiser on the way

Bike riders will soon be peddling around Bureau County. At this week’s Bureau County Board meeting, Tom Tester and Brian Church, President and Vice-President of Zearing Child Enrichment Center, informed the board of their upcoming fundraiser-a bicycle road ride around Bureau County. The event will begin at Zearing Park in Princeton on July 16 and will include a Family ride, a ten mile, twenty-five mile, fifty mile or a sixty-two point five mile ride on specified routes through the county. Their goal is to get one hundred riders to participate.
Church says he thinks Bureau County has some of the best roads in Illinois and an organized road ride like Z Tour will showcase the City of Princeton and the surrounding communities. It is also a great way to promote benefits and services offered at the Center. All proceeds will go to Zearing Child Enrichment Center.
