Authorities investigate report of suspicious man offering ride to kids

Authorities are investigating a report of 2 area children being approached by a stranger offering them a ride.  Ladd Police Chief William Gaefcke says a 5-year old girl and 10-year old boy were approached by the suspicious man as they were walking to school Thursday morning on South Main Street in Ladd.  They say the man looked to be in his ‘50’s and was driving a silver sedan with tinted windows.  The stern-voiced man asked the kids if they wanted a ride.  They ran home.  If you witness or hear about such incidents, you’re urged to call the Bureau County Sheriff’s Office.
