One area school district is adding to its bus fleet

The Princeton Elementary School Board approved leasing three new buses at last night’s meeting. The total cost of the five-year lease will be forty-seven thousand, four hundred and two dollars for a 53-passenger bus, a 65-passenger bus, and a 71-passenger bus. PES Superintendent Tim Smith says the aging fleet is beginning to nickel and dime them with constant repairs. He says leasing these buses is a way to introduce new vehicles into the fleet without purchasing them, which helps keeps down expenses.
