Ottawa student dead of apparent suicide

An Ottawa High School student reported missing has been found dead at his home. Coroner Jody Bernard confirms the student was 16-year old David Jones. Ottawa Police received a missing person report Tuesday morning from Jones’ family. A search began and an alert was put out to the public. Shortly before 6 pm, police found Jones’ body at his home. He was pronounced dead at the scene from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
