Princeton Park District receives much anticipated check

The check really was in the mail. After waiting with baited breath for the last three months, Princeton Park District Executive Director Elaine Russell announced the receipt of four hundred thousand dollars released by the Department of Natural Resources for the OSLAD Grant Reimbursement. This funding was for the development of the forty-acre expansion to Zearing Park. Russell says this money is in addition to the one point eight million dollars raised by the Park District, making it a two point two million dollar investment, with now a little bit left over. Russell says the entire board is ecstatic that the money came in and will continue having discussions on further development of the park.
