Firefighters battle blaze north of Mendota

There’s no word yet on what started a late night barn fire just north of Mendota. The Mendota Fire Department was called to the scene along Route 251 at about 9 last night. Several other area departments assisted, and the road had to be closed as firefighters worked on the blaze about a mile north of the city.
