Investigation continues into skydiver death near Ottawa

The investigation continues into the skydiving death of a suburban Chicago man near Ottawa.  The accident happened Sunday at Skydive Chicago’s Dayton facility.  According to the LaSalle County coroner's office, 30-year old Karthik Balakrishman of Schaumburg was skydiving when witnesses say he went into several radical turns, lost control and crashed into the ground.  He was pronounced dead at the scene, about a mile-and-a-half east of the facility from which he took off.  Dayton is about 5 miles northeast of Ottawa.
