Your help needed in Tonica hit-and-run investigation

LaSalle County authorities are asking for your help in a hit and run accident near Tonica.  The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office says a nine-year old child was walking with family members southwest of Tonica yesterday afternoon at around 4:00.  The child was struck by a white car being driven by a man believed to be in his late teens to late twenties.  The driver and vehicle fled the scene.  Anyone with information on the driver or vehicle is asked to call the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office or your local police.
