IVCC planning graduation ceremonies

     Illinois Valley Community College will host two graduation ceremonies in the next week, one for students receiving associate degrees, and another for those graduating with their General Educational Development certification.  Dan Janka, president of MAG Global, the largest machine tool company in the U.S. and third largest in the world, delivers the keynote address at IVCC's 45th annual commencement Friday night at 7:30 in the college gymnasium.  Janka is a 1982 graduate of IVCC's mechanical technology program.  About 225 graduates are expected to participate in the ceremony.

The Adult Education program will honor its GED graduates Monday at 7 p.m. in the Cultural Centre.  Invitations have been sent to all recent GED graduates.  Any GED graduate who has not received an invitation or who has not participated in a past ceremony and would like to take part this year should call IVCC's Adult Education program at 815-224-0345 by Wednesday, May 18.  Friends and family are welcome.
